Annual Meeting & Business Breakfast 2020
Join the Waltham Chamber of Commerce at our Annual Business Meeting Breakfast. We’d like to invite our members to come together as we begin our 103rd year.
This year we are awarding Connie Braceland, VP of Community Relations & Club 50 at Watertown Savings Bank with the WCOC Community Achievement Award. Connie has been a vital part in the success of various organizations in town, from Rotary, the Chamber, the Boys and Girls Club and many many more.
We are also excited to announce our Keynote speaker: Josh Kraft, the Nicholas President and CEO for Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston (BGCB). Josh started with BGCB nearly 30 years ago at the Edgerley Family South Boston Club, running a program for disadvantaged youth. After graduating from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, Josh returned to BGCB, running a Chelsea afterschool program in the basement of a housing development. Prior to his current role, Josh served as Founding Executive Director of the Gerald and Darlene Jordan Boys & Girls Club.
Today, as Nicholas President and CEO, Josh continues to do this in the eight neighborhoods BGCB serves. Under Josh’s leadership, BGCB’s budget has grown from $14.8 Million to $26 million. From 2012-2017, Josh led the organization through a five-year, $125 million Opening Doors campaign which raised nearly $132 million. With these accomplishments BGCB has broadened its reach and deepened impact—Club membership has doubled and BGCB has fostered a community of 200 program partners throughout Boston and Chelsea.
Concurrently, Josh is the President of New England Patriots Charitable Foundation. Josh serves on the boards of Brandeis University, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Herren Project, and is a co-chair of the Hate Crimes Task Force for Massachusetts. He received his Bachelor’s from Williams College, and his Master’s in Education and Social Policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
